Concerted Action for the development and testing of quantitative Methods for research on Agricultural Systems and the Environment (CAMASE) (http://www.bib.wau.nl/camase/) Web site provides over 200 models on various specific themes in agriculture. The database has a search engine to narrow the collection down to those models of interest.

 


 

PD/A CRSP home site (http://pdacrsp.oregonstate.edu/).  The Aquaculture Database of the Pond Dynamics/Aquaculture CRSP provides access to applied research datasets for pond-based aquaculture production. The Database mainly covers tilapia culture in fertilized and/or fed solar algae ponds. Some data on pond culture of marine penaid shrimp is also available. Data can be downloaded from the Database web site.

The Network of Aquaculture Centers in Asia-Pacific (NACA) (http://www.enaca.org/). NACA is an intergovernmental organization that promotes rural development through sustainable aquaculture. NACA seeks to improve rural income, increase food production and foreign exchange earnings and to diversify farm production. The ultimate beneficiaries of NACA activities are farmers and rural communities.

Regis. A regional information system for African Aquaculture. Integrates hypertext, hypergraphics, expert systems, database searching, and CD-ROM data bases. Required software: runtime version of KnowledgePro and access to Aquatic Sciences and Fisheries Abstracts (ASFA) through CD_ROM or Dialog via modem.

 


Economic Research Service. The Economic Research Service ia a partner in the USDA Economics and Statistics System. The web site contains material on agriculture, food, the environment, and rural development, including comprehensive commodity and trade data and detailed resources in more than 70 specialty areas. Of particular interest to users of the USDA Economics and Statistics system, the new search functions will locate specific information and data within the thousands of ERS spreadsheet and report files in the system.
